Solar Hot Water Systems

The high cost of solar panels often discourages many people that look into buying them. Purchasing a solar hot water system is the most inexpensive way for you to start going green as the solar panels just heat the water.

The home water heating system always uses the most energy. It requires loads of energy to heat up such an immense amount of water. Using the sun’s natural heat we are able to heat up this water very efficiently and save what could be hundreds of dollars a year. This process is much more efficient than trying to convert the suns energy into electricity.

Unlike an expensive solar system made up of thousands of dollars of panels you can heat up water with the suns energy very cheaply and easily. Just by leaving a hose full of water in the sun you can see it can heat up pretty quickly. It is an extremely simple process.

A solar hot water system will usually cost you from a few hundred dollars for a small one right up to a couple thousand for a larger one. When you think how much you would be spending a quarter on just heating your water up you can see how valuable a solar hot water system is to you and how much of a bargain it really is.

People with some decent home maintenance and/or trade experience may be able to build their own provided they can find the right parts. Doing it yourself can save hundreds of dollars but won’t be of the same quality and produce the same amounts of hot water as a purchased system.

During the hot months of summer a solar hot water systems can produce excess hot water which will be more than you will regularly use. You can easily divert this water into a pool, or even try washing your car with it. There are many things you can do with hot water that only cost the price of the water itself.

So whether you want to help the environment out or just wanna save a some money purchasing a solar hot water system is definitely the way to go and is a great start if you wish to become completely power independent.

Hi there, ive recently just been shocked at my electricity bills lately, paying way too much, im sure we can all agree? I think solar energy is the way to go, easy to set up and pretty self explanatory, and where i live, i can actually sell the power generated back to the grid, Pretty sweet.
